Two Little Monkeys held a fundraising Launch Party at John Barleycorn in Chicago’s Lincoln Park on March 6th, 2008. Main attractions at the event included a Silent Auction, Two Little Monkey T-shirt sales and live music performed by Larry Knox and The Attics. Four staff members from the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital for Children flew in for the event. Thank you Terry Diamond, Linda Filipone, Danielle Wilson and Sarah Ashworth! We are incredibly proud to have had them as our guests.
Over 150 friends came out to support our cause and nearly $10,000 was raised for Shriners Hospital. We could not have been happier with the wonderful turnout. The bar was packed and the drinks were shared with smiles. Guests showed their support by purchasing over 125 t-shirts and bidding enthusiastically on silent auction items. The event was successful on many levels, most importantly for its educational value as we feel many of our guests walked away with a better understanding of Obstetrical Brachial Plexus Injuries.
A special “Thank You” is owed to Iggy Labanauskas who contributed $2,700 in Silent Auction purchases by posting the winning bids for a golf package at The Dunes Club in New Buffalo, MI and for 2 floor seats to the March 17th Bulls vs. Nets game. We would also like to thank our friends who worked so hard to make our fundraiser a success. And a huge “Thanks” to everyone who came out to support us. Jay and I have always felt that we have some of the best friends around…your support for us and for Ally means more than you will ever know.
We’re looking forward to seeing you all again next year at our 2nd Annual Two Little Monkeys Party!
